The Himalayas go liquid| The rare species of animals is threatened| What is happening?| What should we do?

And each month you sleep, you are one step closer to becoming extinct. The need for a sustainable environment; where humans live in peace with humans, and humans maintain harmony with the nature; is more than ever before. Our whole ecosystem will be in grave danger if it continues to remain in the hands of a fistful of people, who have the attitude of I-am-living-I-am-protected-and-I-can-do-whatever-the-hell-I-want-with-the-money-and-power-I-possess-and-I-don't-give-a-damn-thing-about-its-people-and-the-Earth. So today, I will be explaining what is happening in the Himalayas, what caused it, and how can we help, along with some nice little facts. Let's start!   THE GREAT HIMALAYAS GO  LIQUID! ➢The Himalayan range is a 2400 km long chain of mountains covered with white sheets of ice. This range has many of the Earth's highest peaks, including the great Mount Everest.  ➣The Himalayas are not only inhabited  by 52.7 million people but also  serve as the rising point of some o

The perfect planet turns unsustainable| Climate change | Global warming| Ecosystem calls for sustainability

" Each year you sleep,  you are one step closer to becoming extinct."   Isn't this true? I personally think that it is the closest one can get to the truth. The Earth, approximately 4.5 billion years old, has since forever provided us with everything. Infact, what I believe is that, the only reason we are alive today is because our Mother Earth has been so compassionate to provide us with oxygen to inhale, water to drink, trees for food, theirs shade for comfort, the sun for heat and light.  I have not known a single moment, from the olden times, when there wasn't a sustainability maintained between the ecosystem and human race. The forests were lush and green and the Earth was alive with the chirping of the birds, the roars of the lions, the sights of our long gone dinosaurs, the gushing of the fresh rivers, the sight of vast glaciers and a happy and content human population. There was a time when endless jungles covered the land as the waves of a wind ruffled sea co

World Ozone Day| All about Ozone Depletion| Is the Ozone Hole decreasing?| How can we save the Ozone Layer?

Every year the World Ozone Day is celebrated on 16th September with a different theme. This year, the theme was the celebration of 35 years of global ozone layer protection. Like so many other environmental issues, the depletion of ozone layer has also been a major concern since the 1980s. Through my blog this time, I will be revealing the past, the present and the future of the ozone layer without which there shall be no life on Earth. (Don't worry I am no fortune teller, but what I am going to be presenting is merely the scientific data, which I hope will help to encourage people to save our precious Earth and its inhabitants.) So let's begin! Q1. What is the ozone layer? It is a particular region in the layers of atmosphere of the Earth. It absorbs 97 to 99% of the sun's ultraviolet radiation, which otherwise would potentially damage the exposed life forms near the surface of the earth. Q2. What happened? [The Past] In the 1980s, scientists began to realize that
