A poem on nature | "The love letter"| Here is what we are doing to the environment.

'The love letter'         “You planned the fire in                                the Amazon       and dug the earth up so deep,          that it will never grow now. The little birds know no place to fly back to at dawn now. You've been on a run clearing the           woods for  individual lust, In your thirst for an urban world, a better world,  You are breaking the roots of the ground that will help your glass statues stand still. There is time now. Turn around. You ignited the fire in Australia, the kangaroo’s abode, Year after year, Well, if you had stopped the reckless industrialization,  while you could, You wouldn't have your hands all laced with crimson, And your future a flimsy, fight and survive situation.          You've left so many innocent               animals to choke and die, No mercy in heart, No farcast foresight for mankind or anyone. Amazon, California, India and some more jungles, All are haunted with the screams of the victims, And who's

Singapore approves of artificial meat| What is lab grown meat?| Is lab-grown meat the new trend?

This planet is as much ours as it is of the animals, insects and millions other unknown species of creatures. Since we humans are much more evolved than any other being, it becomes our responsibility to see to that, in our chase to evolve and develop further, we don't hurt or misuse the various elements and creatures of the Earth. This brings us to animal cruelty has been a major issue and many people have been fighting continuously to put an end to it. We can see the live examples of animal cruelty in the slaughter houses.  FACT #1 According to ' the vegan calculator ', 150 billion animals are slaughtered every year for various purposes. And such statistics don't stop, they keep on increasing rapidly. Today we are fighting various global problems such as hunger, and it becomes essential we find a way to live in harmony with the environment  as well as be able to eradicate such problems. Thus, here comes the alternative of lab grown meat or artificial meat. What

Trees face stress|Trees get poisoned|How do we Save them?

Image
NOW EACH FORTNIGHT YOU SLEEP, YOU ARE ONE STEP CLOSER TO BECOMING EXINCT.                How many of us are aware that the trees, just like us, have the capability to go into stress? Not many, right? But it is true, that trees are in so many ways like us. If we prick them, they bleed. If we tickle them, they laugh. If we poison them, they die. And if we love them, they bloom and shine!  So I will be dedicating my today's blog to the problems faced by trees and how we can ensure that they grow to be healthy. LET'S START!! 🌳    T REE POISONING? When we humans ingest contaminated food,we are very likely to get food poisoning. Likewise when the polluted or contaminated air and water is taken in by the trees, they too get poisoned.  Because of lowering water table levels, mineral deficiencies, they lose the immunity to fight the poison spreading through them. They have no good stuff coming up through the roots, as the falling rain that feeds them has also picked up pollutants on its

The Himalayas go liquid| The rare species of animals is threatened| What is happening?| What should we do?

And each month you sleep, you are one step closer to becoming extinct. The need for a sustainable environment; where humans live in peace with humans, and humans maintain harmony with the nature; is more than ever before. Our whole ecosystem will be in grave danger if it continues to remain in the hands of a fistful of people, who have the attitude of I-am-living-I-am-protected-and-I-can-do-whatever-the-hell-I-want-with-the-money-and-power-I-possess-and-I-don't-give-a-damn-thing-about-its-people-and-the-Earth. So today, I will be explaining what is happening in the Himalayas, what caused it, and how can we help, along with some nice little facts. Let's start!   THE GREAT HIMALAYAS GO  LIQUID! ➢The Himalayan range is a 2400 km long chain of mountains covered with white sheets of ice. This range has many of the Earth's highest peaks, including the great Mount Everest.  ➣The Himalayas are not only inhabited  by 52.7 million people but also  serve as the rising point of some o

The perfect planet turns unsustainable| Climate change | Global warming| Ecosystem calls for sustainability

" Each year you sleep,  you are one step closer to becoming extinct."   Isn't this true? I personally think that it is the closest one can get to the truth. The Earth, approximately 4.5 billion years old, has since forever provided us with everything. Infact, what I believe is that, the only reason we are alive today is because our Mother Earth has been so compassionate to provide us with oxygen to inhale, water to drink, trees for food, theirs shade for comfort, the sun for heat and light.  I have not known a single moment, from the olden times, when there wasn't a sustainability maintained between the ecosystem and human race. The forests were lush and green and the Earth was alive with the chirping of the birds, the roars of the lions, the sights of our long gone dinosaurs, the gushing of the fresh rivers, the sight of vast glaciers and a happy and content human population. There was a time when endless jungles covered the land as the waves of a wind ruffled sea co

World Ozone Day| All about Ozone Depletion| Is the Ozone Hole decreasing?| How can we save the Ozone Layer?

Image
Every year the World Ozone Day is celebrated on 16th September with a different theme. This year, the theme was the celebration of 35 years of global ozone layer protection. Like so many other environmental issues, the depletion of ozone layer has also been a major concern since the 1980s. Through my blog this time, I will be revealing the past, the present and the future of the ozone layer without which there shall be no life on Earth. (Don't worry I am no fortune teller, but what I am going to be presenting is merely the scientific data, which I hope will help to encourage people to save our precious Earth and its inhabitants.) So let's begin! Q1. What is the ozone layer? It is a particular region in the layers of atmosphere of the Earth. It absorbs 97 to 99% of the sun's ultraviolet radiation, which otherwise would potentially damage the exposed life forms near the surface of the earth. Q2. What happened? [The Past] In the 1980s, scientists began to realize that
