A poem on nature | "The love letter"| Here is what we are doing to the environment.

'The love letter'

        “You planned the fire in                                the Amazon
      and dug the earth up so deep, 

        that it will never grow now.

The little birds know no place to fly back to at dawn now.

You've been on a run clearing the           woods for individual lust,

In your thirst for an urban world, a better world, 

You are breaking the roots of the ground that will help your glass statues stand still.

There is time now.

Turn around.

You ignited the fire in Australia, the kangaroo’s abode,

Year after year,

Well, if you had stopped the reckless industrialization, 

while you could,

You wouldn't have your hands all laced with crimson,

And your future a flimsy, fight and survive situation. 

        You've left so many innocent               animals to choke and die,

No mercy in heart,

No farcast foresight for mankind or anyone.

Amazon, California, India and some more jungles,

All are haunted with the screams of the victims,

And who's at fault?

It's always us.

The shipwrecked Himalayas, the Arctic heat waves,

Cape Town is now teetering on the edges of drought,

The "Day Zero" is coming closer,

Climate change is real,

It is everywhere around.

Speeches are not much of good now,

Neither are the governmental policies,

It's not only the institution's responsibility,

It is you, it is me, your neighbor, your teacher, your kid, your family,

The time has been ticking for too long now,

Brace yourselves, 

We've got to catch up,

We've got so much work to do,

We have to do something for the Mother that's been sacrificing,

 all for our use."
